Pompeii and Vesuvius
A short distance from Naples, Pompeii offers an incredible journey through time. This archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, allows visitors to explore the ancient ruins of a perfectly preserved Roman city frozen in time by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The imposing volcano, rising majestically in the background, also offers the possibility of a scenic hike up to the crater, with spectacular views of the Bay of Naples.
